Job Description

Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.  Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines. Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.  Reads and interprets equipment manuals, schematics and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Comply with OSHA Safety, Quality and Machine Specifications.  Perform other duties as assigned or needed

Requirements:

Candidate must be able to work independently and possess working knowledge of industrial equipment, production machinery, preventative maintenance on electro mechanical equipment as well as experience on hydraulics and mechanical repairs. Experience on systems such as PLC’s, AC and DC drives is preferred. Must have the ability to read and understand and troubleshoot from electrical and mechanical schematics. Must have experience working on both control voltages as well as 220v / 440v circuits.  Welding Fabrication a plus.  A minimum of 5 years of previous experience in a manufacturing setting and a solid work history required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift and stack objects up to 100 pounds occasionally and frequently exert 20 to 50 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, and pull or otherwise move objects.
  • Work involves frequent periods of standing and walking, which may include climbing ladders and in and out of machinery.
  • Work involves frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting/turning and reaching; bending at the waist. Indoor/out-door work environment with exposure to weather extremes.
  • Must be able to constantly perceive the nature of sound, utilize near and far vision, depth perception, provide oral information, and possess the manual dexterity to handle and work with various materials and objects which are essential aspects of this position.

Job Description

The job consists of visiting customer homes to measure existing window openings for replacement vinyl windows. In addition the job includes servicing warranty claims on installed product. This includes working from a ladder to replace glass or other window components. Determining the correct measurements for replacement windows entails careful measurement and recording as well as knowledge of installation practices. The employee must complete the necessary paperwork to convey this information and any job specific details to the individuals responsible for ordering and installing the product.    This individual will be working directly with home owners and must be able to communicate effectively any issues that may complicate the project.

Requirements:

Must have previous experience in measuring for and installing replacement windows. (Do not apply if you do not have this experience) Must be EPA RRP Lead Safe certified or be able to obtain certifications within 30 days of employment. Must demonstrate competency in basic math functions. A valid driver’s license and proof of insurance are required.  Must be able to work on a ladder. Must be able to lift and carry product on the job site. Good communication skills are necessary to deal with customers. Basic computer skills such as Outlook, Excel and Word are preferred.  Above all, this person must be honest and trustworthy as they are in direct contact with the customer in their home.
