Why replace your home’s windows?  In addition to giving you instant energy cost savings and improved home comfort and security, new insulated vinyl windows with low-E glass can also provide you with a high return on investment (ROI) when you go to sell your home.

Cost vs Value of Window Replacement

According to the 2020 Cost vs Value Report by Remodeling Magazine Publisher Hanley Wood and the National Association of Realtors (NAR), vinyl window replacements have been ranked among the top ten popular home remodeling projects nationwide for return on investment.  On average, homeowners can obtain up to a 72.3 percent return on investment when replacing 10 or more windows on their home. In select markets, such as the East South-Central states of Kentucky, Tennessee, Mississippi, and Alabama, the return on investment can increase up to 84.2 percent.

The report compares average construction costs for 22 remodeling projects with the value those projects retain at resale in 101 U.S. markets. Nine out of the top 10 high-return projects evaluated in the 2020 Cost vs. Value Report focused on exterior upgrades to the home.
