SoftLite is looking for efficient 1st shift assemblers in our manufacturing facility in Streetsboro, OH.

We are looking for individuals who take pride in their work and are self-motivated but are also a team player. Our assemblers are responsible for the beginning-of-the-line assembly and must have great attention to detail and the ability to keep up on the production line. All employees are able to work their way up to the next level and learn more skilled tasks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Verifying specifications by measuring completed components
  • Following detailed assembly instructions, processes, and procedures to build custom orders
  • Assembling components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies
  • Identifying and using hand tools, such as screw guns, drills, scrapers, snips, hammers, chisels, etc, to perform assigned duties
  • Maintaining quality process control checks and following standard work instructions
  • Escalating quality, safety, and productivity concerns using proper chain of command
  • Ability to work as a member of a team

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to read, write, and understand English
  • Able to stand for a 10-hour shift
  • Daily duties may require lifting 30-50 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to apply physical mobility (bending, pushing, pulling, lifting, and twisting) to perform all line duties
  • Ability to use hand tools, such as screw guns, drills, scrapers, snips, hammers, chisels, and any other tool required to perform duties
  • Familiarity with safety protocols in a manufacturing environment; safety glasses, hearing protection, wearing cut-resistant gloves and sleeves, and steel-toed or composite-toed shoes or boots
  • Must be able to work overtime during the week and on Saturdays as needed
  • These positions are not located on the bus line. You must have your own reliable transportation

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous manufacturing and/or assembly experience a plus but not required

Business Developers | Regional Sales Managers – SoftLite Windows and Doors

Headquarters:    Streetsboro, OH 

AVAILABLE AREAS: North Central (WI, MN, ND, SD) and Northeast/New England

The regional sales manager (RSM) works to improve the dealer channel’s market position and achieve financial growth. The RSM builds key customer relationships, identifies new business opportunities, negotiates and closes business deals, and maintains extensive knowledge of product lines and current market conditions.  

Deliverable Outcomes:

  • Manage all relationships and sales activities with existing and potential SoftLite customers. This includes annual business planning, training and marketing support activities, resolving and correcting all relationship, product, pricing, credit, shipping, lead-time, and day-to-day business issues in a timely manner.
  • Assess and cultivate strong business relationships with window and door- focused trade partners whose segment focus aligns with SoftLite’s product portfolio.
  • Support existing clients to ensure they are satisfied and positive. Sales calls may require presentations about solutions and services that meet or predict the client’s future needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a pipeline of new business while capturing knowledge of the market. Track and record activity on accounts and build forecast sales targets (and ensure they are being met).
  • Adopt the finest product knowledge and presentation skills in the window and door industry. Plan approaches and pitches. Work with marketing staff using market and competitive knowledge to help identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.
  • Develop and maintain a highly collaborative and positive working relationship with SoftLite’s leadership team, manufacturing division, and company personnel.
  • Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distributions channels that will lead to increased sales. Maintain correct channels or distribution and proper mapping in each market to collect maximum market share while minimizing market conflict.
  • Work seamlessly with manufacturing on project flow and product production as well as new product development.
  • Participate in pricing solutions and service.
  • Adhere to travel and entertainment cost-center budgets.
  • Ensure customer showrooms correctly exhibit our products with the most current revisions – always looking first-class and up-to-date.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 2-5 years of applicable work experience within the window and door industry
  • Networking, prospecting, motivation to sell, closing skills, ability to identify customer needs and challenges, market knowledge, and professionalism.
  • Demonstrates the ability to speak to large groups using multiple delivery methods.
  • Significant experience in negotiating with customers and successfully resolving disputes
  • Evidence of strong analytical and fact-based planning skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to operate independently or in a team environment to achieve results
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and analytical skills
  • High level of proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strategic planning and execution
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven organizational skills and attention to detail

General Description/Responsibilities:

  • Fast paced, physically demanding, dynamic environment requiring high level critical thinking skills.

  • Responsible for completing cycle counts and physical inventory counts.
  • Responsible for maintaining a high level of inventory counting accuracy.
  • Ensure all records and reports regarding cycle count activities are prepared on a timely basis.
  • Analyze inventory count discrepancies to determine root cause and recommend corrective action.
  • Process, update, and track inventory movement within the production environment.
  • Ability to identify SKUs for window components
  • Proven ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Job Requirements

  • On the job duties will include but are not limited to the following:
  • Understanding of computer processes (inventory movement process)
  • Ability to create and use Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, including but not limited to, formulas, functions, and pivot tables,
  • Must be able to perform unit measure conversion calculations and other mathematical calculations reasonably necessary to satisfactorily perform job duties
  • Applicant should be self-disciplined and able to work both independently and in a group environment.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking skills, including cause and effect situations.
  • Flexibility to adjust workload to meet the demands of the department.
  • Demonstrate willingness to learn new tasks.
  • Operate dollies, forklifts, and other moving equipment a plus.

MATERIAL HANDLING ASSOCIATE

A Day in the Life Of:

  • Fast-paced, physically demanding, dynamic environment requiring high-level critical thinking skills.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment as defined by SoftLite and guided by the SoftLite mission statement.
  • Promptly unload trucks and inspect incoming goods
  • Verify accuracy and process packing lists and bill of lading (BOL)
  • Process receipts of incoming goods
  • Sort and shelve incoming goods
  • Deliver raw materials to production lines
  • Update and track inventory movement within the production environment
  • Processes vendor returns for accuracy and traceability
  • Maintain quality process control checks and following standard work instructions
  • Escalate quality, safety, and productivity concerns using proper chain of command
  • Able to work as a member of a team

  • Daily duties may require lifting 30 -50 pounds

  • Able to use RFC scanner, dollies, forklifts, and other moving equipment to transport shipments and materials within the facility. Basic computer skills.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols in a manufacturing environment; safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toed or composite-toed shoes or boots.
  • Must be able to work overtime, including Saturdays, as needed
