Current Open Positions:

SoftLite is looking for efficient 1st and 2nd shift assemblers in our manufacturing facility in Streetsboro, OH.

We are looking for individuals who take pride in their work and are self-motivated but are also a team player. Our assemblers are responsible for the beginning-of-the-line assembly and must have great attention to detail and the ability to keep up on the production line. All employees are able to work their way up to the next level and learn more skilled tasks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Verifying specifications by measuring completed components
  • Following detailed assembly instructions, processes, and procedures to build custom orders
  • Assembling components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies
  • Identifying and using hand tools, such as screw guns, drills, scrapers, snips, hammers, chisels etc, to perform assigned duties
  • Maintaining quality process control checks and following standard work instructions
  • Escalating quality, safety, and productivity concerns using proper chain of command
  • Ability to work as a member of a team

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to read, write, and understand English
  • Able to stand for an 8- to 10-hour shift
  • Daily duties may require lifting 30-50 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to apply physical mobility (bending, pushing, pulling, lifting, and twisting) to perform all line duties
  • Ability to use hand tools, such as screw guns, drills, scrapers, snips, hammers, chisels, and any other tool required to perform duties
  • Familiarity with safety protocols in a manufacturing environment; safety glasses, hearing protection, wearing cut-resistant gloves and sleeves, and steel-toed or composite-toed shoes or boots
  • Must be able to work overtime during the week and on Saturdays as needed
  • These positions are not located on the bus line. You must have your own reliable transportation

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous manufacturing and/or assembly experience a plus but not required

ORDER ENTRY/CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE

SoftLite is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Order Entry/Customer Service Representative to join our growing team in Streetsboro, OH.

In this role, you will support both customer service and regional sales managers with product information  and the status of orders and/or quotes. You will also work with other departments to ensure a smooth transition of orders through the system to final shipment. The order entry/customer service rep is the backbone for building rapport and trust with customers by delivering exceptional service to them consistently on a daily basis. We also love having fun and are focused on building a strong team!

A Day in the Life Of:

  • Inputting 25-50 custom orders and quotes accurately into computer systems every day
  • Entering service warranties
  • Maintaining an online filing system
  • Facilitating requests from customers and sales managers for pricing, sales aids, and other needs
  • Troubleshooting customer issues or complaints
  • Assisting customers with a range of complex inquiries ranging from ETA of an order to details of a shipment
  • Responding to questions and requests as quickly as possible, making every effort to exceed customer expectations
  • Gathering feedback and bringing new ideas to improve the customer’s experience
  • Other duties or tasks assigned as needed

SoftLite is looking for a talented and reliable 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician to join our growing maintenance team in Streetsboro, OH.

In this role, you will help upkeep the production lines and support the team to preserve the functionality of our business premises. Your duties will include conducting quality assessments, scheduling repairs, maintaining inventory, and performing preventative maintenance procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production
  • Diagnose problems, replace and/or repair parts, test, and make adjustments
  • Properly and efficiently troubleshoot and diagnose machines for repair
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and work orders to perform work duties
  • Conduct periodic quality checks on equipment and machines to ensure everything is up to working standards
  • Comply with OSHA safety, quality, and machine specifications

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Possess the mechanical skills to properly and efficiently troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to accomplish repairs in a timely and safe manner
  • Able to perform duties and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines with minimal supervision or guidance
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
    • Language skills
    • English (reading, writing, and verbal)
    • Effective communication skills
  • Mathematical skills
    • Understand basic math and measurements, including standard to metric conversions
  • Previous experience with safety procedures and guidelines followed when troubleshooting, repairing, and/or entering pieces of equipment

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree required. Electrical certification a plus.
  • 8+ years’ experience in electrical with NEC knowledge required
