SoftLite is very fortunate to have a 90-year history and more than 300 employees. We understand that so many people and factors contribute to our success. As such, our company is dedicated to helping others in our communities succeed. Not only does SoftLite as a company donate to charities and sponsor events for nonprofit organizations; we also offer opportunities for our employees to get involved. We understand the importance for others to take part in charitable activities and take pride in their contributions to society. The following is a sampling of SoftLite’s charitable giving efforts. MATERIAL DONATIONS AND VOLUNTEERISM

For several years, SoftLite has donated hundreds of windows to Habitat for Humanity and World Vision for the construction of homes for those in need. 

SoftLite is proud to be a 2023 and 2024 Home Build Community Partner with the Habitat for Humanity of Portage County. Thus far, we donated windows for both new builds and rehab house. We also partnered with JB Hunt twice to donate and deliver more than $200,000 worth of windows to Habitat to use in renovations and in the ReStore. In 2024, we put together teams to help with local builds (at a house where we donated windows).

Over the years, we have partnered with our dealers to donate windows to their local Habitat for Humanity branches, such as the Morris Habitat for Humanity in New Jersey. Students at Roxbury High School built a 3-bedroom modular home for a family, and we helped our local dealer, New Jersey Siding & Windows, Inc., donate the windows for this incredible project. 

LOCAL OUTREACH

We support local nonprofit organizations and charities via monetary donations, sponsorships, collections/drives, and volunteer activities.

As a company, SoftLite makes annual monetary or item donations and hosts local drives for local nonprofits that support our community. Employees were able to nominate and vote on which charities to support. We are proud to help the Center of Hope as one of SoftLite’s charities of choice.

Over the years, SoftLite has donated nonperishable food items, school supplies, toiletries, cash, and gift cards to the Center of Hope for their various drives. We are proud that our donations do not just come from the corporate level, but from numerous employees.

COMMUNITY SUPPORT

SoftLite also sponsors a variety of city, park and rec, Leadership Portage County, Streetsboro Chamber of Commerce; athletic teams, schools, nonprofits, and the Ohio Association of Chief of Police and the Ohio School Resource Officers Association. We are a community sponsor of the Streetsboro Chamber of Commerce and Leadership Portage County. We are proud to support our communities and citizens.

NATIONAL ADVOCATES

In 2024, we partnered with Roc Solid Foundation, which helps families battling pediatric cancer. We had a group of volunteers build a playset for a child who just came home from the hospital as well as ready bags for families who just received a diagnosis. 

For years, Harvey Building Products was a proud corporate sponsor and Mission Partner of Homes For Our Troops, a nonprofit organization that builds specially adapted homes for post-9/11 injured veterans. Harvey provides monetary and product donations as well as time to support this great cause.
