What is ENERGY STAR 7.0?

Starting October 23, 2023, window and door product requirements to meet ENERGY STAR certification become more strict. All windows, sliding glass doors, and entry doors (swinging and sliding) must meet specific U-Factor and SHGC criteria that include a lower U-Factor and Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC) as outlined below. The combination of a lower U-Factor and SHGC offers increased energy efficiency, peak performance, and savings to homeowners.
